TFD is not the appropriate place to discuss simple renaming. It primarily handles deletions and mergers. Renaming a template is no different than renaming an article. Either an editor simply moves the page, or if there is a problem with that (controversy, need for assistance), it can be taken to Wikipedia:Requested moves. To my knowledge the only type of rename that requires XFD discussion is moving a category, because technical limitations mean that any category renaming is effectively a deletion of the old name. --RL0919 (talk) 15:15, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Should Unobtanium really be in the navbox? It isn't unique to Avatar and a navbox for the film doesn't make sense on the article since it's about a very general topic. It would be like having a ((Bob Dylan)) navbox at the bottom of Folk Punk. The articles should be all part of a series. A wikilink inside the Avatar article itself would suffice. How is Avatar 2 still displaying, but the code has it changed to the renamed title? I’m pretty sure every page in this template still links to Avatar 2 because of this, but it can’t be changed because the code said it already changed--CreecregofLife (talk) 14:17, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
