This is the talk-page for empty page:  Template:2.

Template:2 indicates parameter 2 typo[edit]

The Template:2 has been created and deleted multiple times during 2005-2010, but is currently blocked from creation. The use of Template:2 is often a common typo where a person intended to access template parameter 2 as (({2))} (with triple braces) but, instead put only double-braces and invoked "((2))" as Template:2, unaware of the mistake.

There have been other uses of Template:2:

However, the most problems have been caused by omitting the first brace "{" and getting "((2))", as invoking Template:2 rather than parameter 2. This can be an insideous problem, especially when the transclusion of Template:2 is hidden, so that the effect is invisible to the person editing a page. -Wikid77 19:49, 15 August 2010, revised 13:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for problem usage of Template:2[edit]

Because Template:2 can become hidden within some pages, a good way to spot accidental usage, is to check what-links-here, such as:

After reviewing pages in that list, then click "Show transclusions" to list all other pages (which access Template:2). In many cases, pages must be edited to correct the text which inadvertently accessed "((2))" rather than parameter 2. -Wikid77 (talk) 19:49, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 2 November 2012[edit]

Please add an interlang: [[ja:template:2]] just before the last </noinclude>. Because the documentation is common to other templates like ((1)), interlangs have to be here, not in /doc.

By the same reason, please add [[ja:template:3]] to ((3)). Thanks. Ahora (talk) 07:17, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK done.--Salix (talk): 08:09, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 13 April 2019[edit]

Please remove [[ja:template:2]]. It has already been added to the wikidata item (d:Q6645854). Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 20:30, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
