This is the talk-page for empty page:  Template:2.

The Template:2 has been created and deleted multiple times during 2005-2010, but is currently blocked from creation. The use of Template:2 is often a common typo where a person intended to access template parameter 2 as (({2))} (with triple braces) but, instead put only double-braces and invoked "((2))" as Template:2, unaware of the mistake.

There have been other uses of Template:2:

• In footballer scores, people have put "((0))0 ((2))(0)" for "((0))2 ((0))(0)" because use of Template:0 caused confusion of 4 "0" in zero scores: ((0))0 ((0))(0), unsure which "0" should be "2".
• Formerly, people have created temporary contents in Template:2 and caused various discussions about who wanted to use that template.

However, the most problems have been caused by omitting the first brace "{" and getting "((2))", as invoking Template:2 rather than parameter 2. This can be an insideous problem, especially when the transclusion of Template:2 is hidden, so that the effect is invisible to the person editing a page. -Wikid77 19:49, 15 August 2010, revised 13:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Because Template:2 can become hidden within some pages, a good way to spot accidental usage, is to check what-links-here, such as:

Please add an interlang: [[ja:template:2]] just before the last </noinclude>. Because the documentation is common to other templates like ((1)), interlangs have to be here, not in /doc.
