This is a documentation subpage for Template:Wikidata Human Gender Indicators. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This inline template shows the percent of the English Wikipedia’s biographies that are about women, according to the Wikidata Human Gender Indicators (WHGI) project. It was created for Women in Red to make this number consistent and easily updateable across the project pages. Since March 2021, the figure has been drawn from Humaniki, WHGI's replacement.

This template depends on an editor manually entering the numbers whenever the data is updated from WHGI. There is no actual connection to the raw data.

There is only one parameter:

• date – any text here will show the latest update date. If left blank, it will show no date.

Entering no parameter, like this:

((WHGI))

simply shows the latest number: 19.92%

To add the latest date, set date equal to "yes" (or any other text):

((WHGI|date=yes))

yields: 19.92% as of 19 August 2024
