This is a documentation subpage for Template:Archive request. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template can be used to indicate a talk page has become very long and should be archived.

Since the template can come off as confrontational, its use on user talk pages is discouraged and the category is not applied if used there.

• ((Archive request)) - places page in Category:Archive requests.
  • First sorted by largest pagesize in KB then by page name
• (very) long will show the page size when moused over.
  • Pages <= 75K will say "long" (but consider simply removing this template, since the length is within guidelines)
  • Pages <= 150K will say "long"
  • Pages > 150K will say "very long"
• Pages >= 225K will have the background turn red

Consider archiving the page yourself instead of using this template. Do not, however, modify the user talk page of another user without their permission.
