History notes[edit]

Sources include: 1926, 1946 1934, 1952 1936 Alabama (1927) Alabama (many years) Georgia (1938, 1943, 1946) Tennessee (1938, 1951)

Alabama

Note that SR 45/SR 23 and SR 20 connected via Cedar Bluff, became US 411 in 1934 until ca. 1947 (became SR 9 in Alabama ca. 1955, with SR 23 and SR 62 both ending at Centre until the big renumbering soon after) (originally SR 4 in Georgia until ca. 1929)

Georgia
Tennessee

Note that the 1936 map shows US 411 in Tennessee as "proposed". The 1938 (official state) map doesn't show it at all, and the 1946 map ends it at Maryville. The 1951 (official state) map takes it through to Greeneville.
