I remember reading somewhere that Disney made this film in Britain only because they had money tied up there because of British government regulations on transfer of money. These regulations dated from the war. However, I can't track down any reliable sources on this. Can anybody help? gramorak 09:30, 5 September 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gramorak (talk • contribs)
Ah - I have just found a reference in the wikipedia article on 'The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men': "These and several other Disney films were made using British funds frozen during World War II". Unfortunately there is no citation there, so it doesn't help much.Gramorak (talk—Preceding undated comment added 09:39, 5 September 2010 (UTC).[reply]
