Looks good to me, except I think ((R from writer)) is a bit more specific and relevant than ((R from person)), since the target redirects to a book co-authored by the subject. It's no big deal either way. --Animalparty! (talk) 18:03, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Animalparty: agree. I just caught that before I saw your post. Also added ((R with possibilities)). One thing though, we're not sure the Authority control template will work on a redirect. Guess we'll see. P.I. Ellsworthed.put'r there 18:12, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not done however @Paine Ellsworth and Animalparty: I lowered the protection on this so you can maintain the redirect (which the AFD's say should still be a redirect). — xaosfluxTalk 14:45, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, Xaosflux! and Animalparty, just learned something new... that the Authority control template does work on redirects. Best of everything to you and yours!P.I. Ellsworthed.put'r there 15:10, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Paine Ellsworth: I'm not sure it's a good idea to use though - as it categorizes them in to "Wikipedia articles with....." when these are just redirects? I'm not really "objecting" but AC can be somewhat contentious so you should probably discuss at VP if this should be extended to redirects in general. — xaosfluxTalk 15:19, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Xaosflux: have to admit that this is the first time I've seen it done. I don't think it does any harm, because if the Wikidata page is ever deleted, the AC template will stop appearing on the redirect automatically. And in the categories, for example at Category:Wikipedia articles with ORCID identifiers?from=Be, the Beale entry is in italics to indicate its redirect status. P.I. Ellsworthed.put'r there 16:12, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Xaosflux: just read the following at Wikipedia:Authority control: "In these cases, the template should be put on the page (article or redirect) that most closely matches the topic in the authority control system." So it appears that placing the AC template on redirects has been done in the past. P.I. Ellsworthed.put'r there 16:29, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Paine Ellsworth: just suggesting you check in to it if you planned on putting a lot of these out - it is certainly not a special concern for this article redirect over any other though so this isn't the best venue. — xaosfluxTalk 17:50, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Xaosflux: just so you know, I don't intend to work at such things, because the vast majority of redirects do not have pages on Wikidata, just the very special ones like this one. My plate is pretty full at the moment. Thank you so much for your guidance!P.I. Ellsworthed.put'r there 20:56, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Paine Ellsworth and Xaosflux: Thanks to you both. And FWIW I believe redirects are considered articles for the purpose of article space, and can be categorized with regular articles as well as redirect-specific categories per WP:RCAT. (see e.g. Lilly Wachowski). Having the Authority control in place can help ensure redirects go to the correct target. Cheers, --Animalparty! (talk) 18:05, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
