• Apparently User:Shrike, who initiate the deletion, isn't the Russian or Yiddish speaker and cannot properly asses the subject ~~ User:Lamerkhav
• Michael Dorfman is a published author, with a number of books on Jewish history (see below) and countless analytic articles in reputable sources - see, for example, [1]. He is widely read and very active. I have a strong suspicion that the intention to delete his profile on Wikipedia is driven by interested parties who do not share his political position. As has been pointed out by others above Michael Dorfman is a well known author with a many articles and a number of books published especially in Russian language media. Besides what can be found online you can find his articles in a number of Russian language newspapers offline. His articles has been critically reviewed primarily in Russian language media. • Keep I've been reading him for quite a number of years. He is a very prolific author on the subject of Jewish/Yiddish history and culture. I've been reading his regular column at http://www.sensusnovus.ru/category/opinion (I read Russian), but also read excerpts from his books. Not sure why this entry would need to be deleted. • Keep - persuaded by the abundance of sources. It's not a New Yorker Featured Article, but this is a specialized topic about Russia Jewish Yiddish culture so we need remember WP:SYSTEMIC can be an issue. The sources seem to support a notable person within the context of Russian Jewish Yiddish culture (and some outside that context). Compromise I'd love, if you'll propose a compromise. I fail to see what compromise may be, if the proponent wants to delete the article, and nearly everybody else suggests to keep it.
