Which messy writer cancel updated discography and links? It seems, he must be ill or suffers under persecution mania!?
I don't see James Last on this list? --Balor1999 15:12, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
James Last has sold (2013) more than 80 million albums, which he also has recieved a price for from the german orghanisation GEMA. That is a bit more than "25-30" as described above.
What is "Bloot von Ninkomarp" (1969)? Somebody is having fun by making up titles to see how long they will survive the 10,000,000 eyes of Wikipedia?
Whenever I add a link to the Yahoo James Last Discussion Forum, somebody removes it. Why? --Balor1999 12:22, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
When Last was a teenager, were there bass guitars? I think what he played as a teenager is a double bass... or not? AlvaroBecerra 07:47, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. Fender didn't start producing electric basses until c. 1951, when Last was in his 20s. There had been attempts to market them before then (eg Paul Tutmarc), but very few sold. Widmerpool 09:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
he could of played it if he invented one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.125.110.223 (talk) 21:24, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
He played DOUBLE BASS, also known as Bass Fiddle, not electric bass guitar. There's quite a difference. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lathwin (talk • contribs) 16:28, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
In this article, we are told no less than three times that the material composed and published by James Last is "terrific". I could think of other adjectives that could be used, but to spare those who are James Last fans I'll refrain from doing so. I'll settle for noting that the article as it stands hardly can be said to conform to Wikipedia's NPOV requirements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.97.2.35 (talk) 12:48, 24 January 2008 (UTC) To reach a more balanced view, I can highly recommend the British comedian Peter Cook's virtuosic impersonation of James Last on view at YouTube. Why is there no reference to "muzak" in the article? Frank Landsman (talk) 17:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
You refer to comedians. I refer to Youtube and peoples opinion there. It will speak for itself.

DISPUTE MATHEMATICS OF POPULARITY AND TASTE - PUSHING WHO'S POV????
The POV dispute is regarding whether James Last music is "muzak" or "terrific". I do not agree that unbalanced POV is appropriate caution to the reader. The original entry emphasizes the popularity of the music and is the music not terrifically popular when the band recently fills The Royal Albert Hall, in London, England? Furthermore, the audience of all generations are on their feet and enthusiastically participating in accolades to the band. When music standards are interpreted by other artists, these musicians are playing music, not mathematics. Your dispute is not about popularity; rather your dispute is essentially about mathematics. Chinese music is also popular; dare I ask your POV on whether it is to your liking? Your dispute is pushing your POV because you misunderstand the reason why James Last is entered while your success is not. PLease remove your caution.209.240.116.171 (talk) 02:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC) 209.240.116.171 (talk) 02:13, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Why is there no mention of the name "Hansi" that his fans affectionately call him? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.246.67.80 (talk) 03:59, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
"The song "The Lonely Shepherd", was not written by Last, as many erroneously believe. It was written by an unknown artist. However, on many records he claims the credit for it. This very little known song was performed by Gheorghe Zamfir for over three decades before Tarantino had decided to use it in his film. Only then James Last Orchestra has done an improvised recording with Gheorghe Zamfir, which was featured in the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's film Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003).[2]" - I clearly remember Gheorge Zamfir playing "The Lonely Shepherd" on the James Last television show in the 1980s. I believe it was also on on of Last's earlier albums. The suggestion that Last only featured it in his shows after the release of "Kill Bill" is rubbish. "The song "The Lonely Shepherd" was written by an unknown artist." - No evidence to support this statement. This track is from his 1977 album "Memories of Russia/Rußland Erinnerungen" and all the songs on the album are credited as "traditional arranged by James Last" except for the two tracks featuring Gheorghe Zamfir - "Nadjenka" and "The Lonely Shepherd/Der Einsame Hirte" which are credited as "composed by James Last". Was he born? Was it on a specific date?
Information conspicuous by its absence. It mist have been sometime around 1930 from other information in he article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.208.172 (talk) 18:50, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
I sometime feel that all articles that deals with things that are unknown in North America automatically gets a "Source warning". James Last was and still is, "in his domain", huge. Specially in the generation that were a bit "too old" when Beatles became world famous. Whenever my parents had party when I was a kid, James Last, Les Humhries Singers and Frank Valdor was played instead of f.i. Creedence, Stones, Staus Quo, Sweet or whatever. I've compared with German Wiki (a language I can understand in wrighting, and speak with lousy grammar up to a certain level). There is no indication what so ever that there is any reason to doubt this article. 83.249.173.100 (talk) 02:55, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
I removed the BLP sources tag dating from March 2011. Derek R Bullamore was right then as the article at that stage was poorly referenced offering not more than 3 references. This has been improved significantly since then so imo the tagging isn't necessary any longer.--91.61.123.127 (talk) 13:27, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Had too many info sources to translate Dematney7878 (talk) 19:55, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
I was going to tag this very short article, Mornings at Seven, with speedy deletion as per WP:CSD#A9 but realized the information could be merged with James Last. I'm just not sure if the information is even notable enough to be in the the James Last article. What do you think? Maestroso simplo (talk) 22:44, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
The discography section is quite long. Perhaps the more notable entries could be listed with a separate article for the full discography. Jonpatterns (talk) 17:07, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
