I was actually looking for the article on Iris Allen, but typed "Iris West" into the search box and landed here. To my surprise, the entire second half of the article had been lifted verbatim from my own site at http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/iris-ii.html with only slight changes to remove first-person remarks. (Scroll down to the "Notes" section and compare it with the 3 paragraphs I deleted.)

This article needs to be moved to Iris West (comics) sincet he character's status has changed, I've already created an Impulse (DC Comics) catchall. --Xero (talk) 13:12, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that but I don't think it'll work because there are two Iris Wests in comics and Iris West (comics) should be redirected to Iris West (or we leave it blank). We don't necessarily have to change an articles name when they switch alias so it might not be a big deal for the moment. (Emperor (talk) 23:33, 27 November 2009 (UTC))[reply]
In fact there is a more obvious solution. The Kingdom Come universe is actually an alternate future and is defined as Earth-22, so the main DCU Iris West II won't grow up to by this Iris West (it might be writers parallel the story or they may go completely off on a tangent). The Kingdom Come characters are (rightly) usually described in alternate version sections, so for example Superman will never become Superman (Kingdom Come) (although he might become a character like him, but he might not). So it is confusing, misleading and inaccurate to jam together two characters in this single article. So there are two options:
Move this to Impulse (Iris West) and have the Kingdom Come character in an alternate versions section.
Split the main DCU character to Impulse (Iris West)
It might also be we could include the main DCU character in an alternate version section but that isn't usually done although I'm sure I can find examples where the alternate universe version is the main one (Magog (comics) was like this [1] but has been recently been changed, which needs addressing). Oppose - There's no evidence that the comics call this character "Iris West II" and we shouldn't either. The senior Iris West never operated under the name "Kid Flash", so the title is already disambiguated. Just explain the distinction in the article. Kid Flash (Kingdom Come) would be an acceptable alternative per Superman (Kingdom Come). -- Netoholic@ 20:04, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. (Iris West) distinguishes the topic from other Kid Flash characters perfectly well. There's a whole article under the title to explain the background.--Cúchullaint/c 13:57, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 09:08, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kid Flash (Iris West) → Irey West – Similar to other DC characters, this one is referred as Irey West shortly after her return in 2019. In current Flash comics, she is called Irey (The Flash #771, 2021). Also, she has two codenames, right know she is using the Impulse alias. The current title isn't accurate. Closing comment: This is perhaps a borderline supervote, as I don't think the nom put forward much of a rationale in terms of wp:AT and the only !vote added nothing. But I'm sure it's an improvement, so I'm going to invoke wp:snow and wp:IAR and hope we can move on. Andrewa (talk) 09:08, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
