I post that template on the article because this stuff on it is not the most current. At the time I am writing this, Rick is a category 1 not a category 3. --12george1 (talk) 02:45, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
In the future it would be nice to have a water vapor image of Rick at peak intensity, which was unquestionably "spectacular." Gm03us (talk) 15:19, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Simply because it illustrated well the astounding characteristics of the storm when at peak intensity; it was the quintessential textbook image of an intense hurricane. I remember cycling through the images when it was at peak intensity, and that one struck me the most. The visible image, while impressive, doesn't come close to some of the enhanced imagery of this storm. 97.96.164.147 (talk) 00:09, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Rick.A2009290.2020.250m.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on December 22, 2012. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2012-12-22. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! —howcheng {chat} 18:09, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
