Is there a source for dubbing refering specifically to soundtracks, and not the general process of a localization translation? For example, would video games be called "dubbed and localized", due to the translation of text, or would they simply be called "dubbed"? My experience is the latter, but this article suggests otherwise.192.249.47.196 (talk) 18:38, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need two topics that cover dubbing of materials? The Dubbing (filmmaking) could probably have a section on it that includes a summary of what is currently on the dub localization page. Sakuura CarteletTalk 22:28, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I support a merge. This page reads like someone's rant about bad dubs, and is largely unsourced at that. The noteworthy aspects of this page could easily be condensed and summarized on Dubbing (filmmaking). — Kawnhr (talk) 05:09, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Support: I don't think I'm experienced enough to merge these two. Is another editor willing to? –Daybeers (talk) 23:58, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge, merely on the basis that is at 178k and is hence too big to merge into, even if the dub localization page was significantly cut down. The pages are already linked in a summary/main format.Klbrain (talk) 06:03, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: That's assuming there's anything worthwhile on this page. As I said above, the body of this page is of dubious value— opinionated and largely unsourced, it's somewhere between original research and a rant, which is hardly encyclopedic. As I see it, the only thing here that's worth keeping is the lede, which leaves two options: merging it into Dubbing (filmmaking) (probably under #General use), or blow the whole thing up. — Kawnhr (talk) 19:52, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
