Corvette Rumors[edit]

I heard a rumor that a Corellian corvette once reached a theoretical super-shield state by over charging its shield generators. In this temporary but nearly impervious state, it punched clear through the bridge of an Imperial Star Destroyer. Can anyone verify this rumor?

Basically correct...[edit]

In a cutscene in the original X-Wing game, the corvette Ram's Head was equipped with an experimental shield technology and rammed a drydock full of ISDs. Canonicity is debatable, since the incident and the tech were (AFAIK) never mentioned again.

I think that the super shield technology was mentioned again, but only once. I think that it might have been in the Defender of the Empire add-on pack for Tie fighter where a renegade Imperial team tried to recreate the super shield technology, or maybe it was in an X-Wing add-on pack. - perfectblue 18:34, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

This in-universe article is entirely plot summary, sprinkled with trivia, with no citations to reliable sources. It contains one sentence of real-world information.

Much was the same with Tantive IV. A separate, proper article on each, however, would essentially duplicate all the real-world information (e.g. design, production). Rather than be repetitive, it is better to merge them into one. Considering that the Corellian Corvette as a general class has not achieved any appreciable degree of real-world notability, whereas the specific Tantive IV is an important part of the trilogy, this article should redirect to Tantive IV. --EEMeltonIV 02:31, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this logic; a section on "other" CCs can be added to Tantive IV. — Deckiller 02:34, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
