Skip[edit]

From the article: "One storm, Typhoon Skip, passed into this basin from the west, keeping its west Pacific name."
No it didn't. It crossed from the central Pacific into the West Pacific [1]. It just wasn't named until it got into the west Pacific. -- §HurricaneERIC§ archive 02:00, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any Pictures for this season's hurricanes?[edit]

Can anyone find pictures of storms from this year? I mean, Hurricane Rick was the strongest, and yet it doesn't have a pic. Only like 3 tops have pics on this entire page. Some pics would be great for this season article. Come on, I mean, the NHC and NOAA had to have weather satellites monitor more than just three systems. If anyone finds pictures of some of these storms, it probably should be somewhere near peak intensity, there have gotta be more than just 3 pics for hurricanes this entire season. Last depression[edit]

For the last depression of this season, it says TD 25-E, but, counting from 22-E before it, shouldn't it be 26-E? Hurricanekiller1994 (talk) 15:02, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Info[edit]

Is there any NHC archive on storms from this year? If anyone finds one, try posting a link to it. Hurricanekiller1994 (talk) 22:44, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The NHC did not track the season. YE Pacific Hurricane 22:27, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Hurricane Ignacio (1985) into 1985 Pacific hurricane season[edit]

Fails WP:NWX since the impact was only minimal. The content here could be easily summarized in the season article. Noah, AATalk 14:01, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Yellow Evan: there is only 7,008 words, which is well within the realms of a good article size. I think we should be more restrictive with the mergers when the season article is at 8,000 words. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:55, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support - Ignacio wasn't notable enough to warrant a separate article, and there's not much information and content in the article. I agree that it could be easily summarized in the season article. ~ Sandy14156 (Talk ✉️) 20:26, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mergers aren't debated on the "harm" of whether they're kept or not. If the content is redundant between two articles, then there isn't a need for the one article. There wouldn't be any new content in Ignacio's article if it was merged. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:26, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
