Arms of Trelawny: Argent, a chevron sable[1]

Sir Harry Trelawny, 5th Baronet (15 February 1687 – 7 April 1762) was a British soldier and Member of Parliament.

Trelawne House

Trelawny was an aide-de-camp to the Duke of Marlborough during the War of the Spanish Succession. He also sat as Member of Parliament for East Looe from 1708 to 1710. In 1756, at the age of 68, he succeeded his cousin in the baronetcy and to the Trelawne estate near West Looe in Cornwall.

Trelawny died in April 1762, aged 75. He had married, in 1716, Laetitia, the daughter and eventual heiress of Sir Jonathan Trelawny, 3rd Baronet, Bishop of Winchester. He had a son (who predeceased him) and 3 daughters. The baronetcy and Trelawne passed to his nephew and son-in-law Sir William Trelawny, 6th Baronet.
