Salami (Persian: سلامي; also Romanized as Salamī, Salāmī, and Salāmey; also known as Salmān)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Salami District of Khaf County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4] It is also the administrative center for Salami Rural District.[5] It is one of the larger cities of the county, at a distance of 90km from Torbat-e Heydarieh and 25km from Khaf.[6]
At the 2006 census, its population was 6,056 in 1,341 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 6,581 people in 1,607 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 7,555 people in 1,951 households.[2]
