Peter Reynolds (born Peter Gordon Horrocks; 16 August 1921 – 22 April 1975) was an English actor.[1][2][3]
Most of his career was spent in B films, as "the archetypal spiv, unreliable boyfriend, unscrupulous blackmailer, the smoothie ever ready to light a lady's cigarette".[4]
By the mid-1970s he had moved to Australia and lived alone, apart from his little dog, in Sydney where he worked in local television drama and as a spokesperson for Woodbine cigarette commercials. His brother lived in Sydney.
He and his dog died in a fire in his flat in Oxford St Paddington on 22 Apri. The fire was caused by Reynolds smoking in bed.[5]
