Nekhayevsky District (Russian: Неха́евский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Nekhayevsky Municipal District.[6] It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,220 square kilometers (860 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Nekhayevskaya.[2] Population: 15,588 (2010 Census);[4] 17,660 (2002 Census);[8] 19,080 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Nekhayevskaya accounts for 30.0% of the district's total population.[4]
