Marin Moraru (Romanian pronunciation: [maˈrin moˈraru]; 31 January 1937 – 21 August 2016[1]) was a Romanian stage, film and television actor.

He graduated from the Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in 1961. Moraru performed at the Youth Theatre (1961–1964), Comedy Theatre (1965–1968), Bulandra Theatre (1968–1971) and National Theatre (1971–1974). In 2009, he received the Gopo Award for Lifetime Achievement.[2]

Moraru died on the 21st of August, 2016 at 05:30 pm at the age of 79.[3][4][1]
