Malard-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان ملارد شمالی)[a] is in the Central District of Malard County, Tehran province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Malard.[4]
In April 2009, Malard District was separated from Shahriar County in the establishment of Malard County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Malard as its capital.[3]
There were 31,288 inhabitants in 8,532 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the district had been separated from the county and Malard County established.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 31,362 in 9,126 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Shahrak-e Jafariyeh, with 9,452 people.[2]
