Lee Min-ho (Korean: 이민호; born October 25, 1998), better known by his stage name Lee Know (Korean: 리노), is a South Korean singer and dancer. Lee Know is a member of South Korean boy band Stray Kids formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017.[1]
Lee Min-ho was born in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea and is an only child. He started dancing in middle school, after seeing a dance video online. He took lessons for five years before becoming a trainee.[2] Lee Know graduated from Gimpo Jeil Technical Highschool.[3] He practiced martial arts as a child and has a second degree black belt in taekwondo and mixed martial arts.[4]
Lee Know competed in dance competitions (performing with the crew 'Cupcakes' at World of Dance in 2016) and pursued work as a professional dancer.[5] He was also a back up dancer for K-Pop group BTS appearing in several of their performances, the 2017 music video for "Not Today" and, also toured with them on their 2017 'Wings' Tour.[6] After being seen at a dance competition, JYP called him in 2015 and asked him to come to an audition. After hearing nothing back, he assumed he'd failed, but was called a couple years later and was asked to join the company.[7] Lee Know joined JYP on July 16th, 2017, making him the last Stray Kids member to do so.[8] Lee Know participated on the survival show Stray Kids and was eliminated on the fourth episode for making an error while rapping.[9] Ultimately, Lee Know and Felix, who were both eliminated, were allowed to be back and debut with the group in the last episode of the show. Their pre-debut EP Mixtape was released January 2018. Stray Kids officially debuted March 26, 2018 with the EP I Am Not.[10]
Lee Know is a main dancer and dance leader for Stray Kids, and also contributes vocally to all their albums. Lee Know has released some solo projects through Stray Kids YouTube channel including a dance he choreographed "Dawn",[11] his solo song "Limbo",[12] the collaboration song "Drive" (with Bang Chan),[13] and a cover of Day6's "Love me or Leave me".[14]
Lee Know has done photo shoots for several fashion companies, including Gucci. He appeared in a campaign for Etro's "Earth Beat" sneakers in 2021.[15] In May 2024, he made his Met Gala debut with Stray Kids as the guest of Tommy Hilfiger.[16] He also attended Gucci's 2025 Cruise fashion show as a guest in London at the same month.[17] Lee Know has appeared on the covers of fashion magazines including W Korea and Beauty+.[18][19]
On February 28, 2024, World Vision announced that Lee Know became the youngest person to be inducted into their "Bob Pierce Honor Club" for donating over 100 million won to the charity. Lee Know also sponsors four children through the same charity.[20]
Starting in August 2021, Lee Know was a MC on the show Music Core, but stepped down in October of 2023 due to schedule conflicts.[21] Lee Know appeared on multiple television shows: The Fishermen and the City,[22] Idol Dictation Contest,[23] and Idol on Quiz.[24]
Lee Know has three cats, Soonie, Doongie, and Dori who live with his parents. Soonie and Dori are adopted, and Doongie was the kitten of a friend's cat. In September 2023, Lee Know, and Stray Kids' members Seungmin and Hyunjin, were involved in a car accident, causing them to miss their performance at the Global Citizen Festival (despite sustaining no serious injuries).[25] In December 2023, Lee Know injured his hand in boxing, but still performed at the 2023 Asian Artist Awards (AAA).[26]
