Kurt Darren, is a South African singer, songwriter and television presenter, who won 7 South African Music Awards (SAMA) from 2007 to 2011.

His debut was with the album For Your Precious Love released in 1995. But it was his 2002 album Blue Note Jazz that became a big breakthrough for him. Darren's music has become popular in the Netherlands and in Flemish Belgium through covers by local artists in these countries, like "Staan Op", "Meisie Meisie", "Kaptein Span die Seile", "Af en af" and "Bloubergstrand se sonsak".

From 2006 to 2011, Darren was the presenter of the popular South African show Jukebox broadcast on kykNET and other media outlets.

Personal life

Darren married South African model Dunay Nortjé on 8 January 2011.
