Krasnozyorsky District (Russian: Краснозёрский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,330 square kilometers (2,060 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Krasnozyorskoye.[1] Population: 32,491 (2010 Census);[2] 38,836 (2002 Census);[6] 40,312 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Krasnozyorskoye accounts for 29.3% of the district's total population.[2]
