Kolchuginsky District (Russian: Кольчу́гинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the sixteen in Vladimir Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,148 square kilometers (443 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Kolchugino.[2] Population: 49,656 (2021 Census);[9] 56,351 (2010 Russian census);[4] 11,405 (2002 Census);[10] 16,312 (1989 Soviet census).[11] The population of Kolchugino accounts for 79.4% of the district's total population.[9]
