Kakavand District (Persian: بخش کاکاوند) is in Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Haft Cheshmeh.[3]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 23,598 in 4,574 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 21,837 people in 5,172 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 19,127 inhabitants in 5,284 households.[2]
In 2023, Itivand and Mirbag Districts were established, with two rural districts each that were transferred from Kakavand District and the Central District, respectively.[6]
