Jack Gunston (born 16 October 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL).

He was selected with pick 29 in the 2009 AFL Draftfrom the Sandringham Dragons. Gunston had suffered a severe elbow injury playing as a junior, I was playing in a practice game for Sandy [Sandringham]. I contested the ball and my elbow just popped out. I had to go to hospital and the doctors put my whole arm in a cast, Gunston said. It took surgeons three hours and a dose of anaesthetic to put Gunston’s elbow back into place. [1]

He made his AFL debut against the Brisbane Lions in round nine of the 2010 AFL season. In a promising debut Gunston collected seven disposals and kicked a vital goal in the final quarter.[2] He played one more game in round 18 against Richmond collecting nine disposals. He finished the year in Central District’s premiership side.[3]

After two years at Adelaide, Gunston became homesick and sought to return to Victoria. He had been awarded the Mark Bickley Award as the club's best young player, but he was stripped of the title after announcing his intentions to leave.[4]
