Hypocreomycetidae is a subclass of sac fungi.[1]
The subclasses of Sordariomycetes was expanded from three to six, when Eriksson & Winka (1997) introduced Hypocreomycetidae, Sordariomycetidae and Xylariomycetidae based on morphology and nrDNA sequence data.[2]
