Heart of Stone (2009) is a documentary film about Weequahic High School in New Jersey directed by Beth Toni Kruvant. The film relates the struggles of the school's administration and students to return the school to its previous glory in the years before 1960.
The film premiered in January 2009 at the Sundance Film Festival, and has since been shown at the Slamdance Film Festival, the Philadelphia Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival, and many others. The film will have its theatrical premiere at The Roxie in San Francisco in late October 2009.
