DescriptionLogo for Norsk Kvinnesaksforening (variant).svg
English: A variant of the logo of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights (Norsk Kvinnesaksforening; NKF). NKF's logo, a stylized sunflower, has been used by the association since 1894. The sunflower became the symbol of the liberal American suffrage movement spearheaded by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony in the 1860s. The logo was adopted by NKF and the Norwegian liberal women's rights movement at the behest of Gina Krog in 1894, based on an 1888 proposal by Aasta Hansteen.
