Deutsch: Die am 1. Januar 1972 zur neuen Gemeinde Ingersheim vereinigten Orte Groß- und Kleiningersheim hatten auch schon bis 1829 zusammen eine Gemeinde gebildet. In einem Fleckensiegel, das wohl im späten 18. Jahrhundert entstanden ist, erinnert das nicht heraldisch aufgefasste Bild eines unter strahlender Sonne segelnden Schiffes mit Anker am Bug an die Neckarschiffahrt. Auf Marksteinen und in einem späteren Großingersheimer Siegel wurde das beschriebene Motiv schließlich zu einem Anker vereinfacht. Da dieses Symbol beide Seiten der Grenzsteine ziert, galt es als Zeichen beider Orte. Das vom Innenministerium am 18. Dezember 1972 samt der Flagge verliehene Wappen der neuen Gemeinde zeigt die Großingersheimer Form des Ankers in den Farben von Kleiningersheim.
