Filair was an airline based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It operated from N'Dolo Airport in Kinshasa.[3][citation needed] The airline was on the list of air carriers banned in the European Union, as well as all airlines regulated by the authorities in the DRC.
The founder and owner of Filair was Dany Philemotte, a Belgian pilot, who died in an air crash involving one of the company's Let-L40 jets in 2010.[4]
It operated regional flights to Boma, Idiofa, Kikwit, Matadi and Muanda, among others.[citation needed]
