Evernic acid is an organic compound and depside with the molecular formula C17H16O7.[2] Evernic acid was first isolated from the lichen Usnea longissima.[3][4] Evernic acid is soluble in hot alcohol and bad soluble in water.[5][6][7] Evernic acid is produced by the lichens Ramalina, Evernia, and Hypogymnia.[8]
