Eric Emanuel da Silva Moreira (born 3 May 2006) is a German professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Regionalliga Nord club FC St. Pauli II.
Born in Hamburg,[2] da Silva Moreira is a youth product of SC Victoria Hamburg and FC St. Pauli.[3][4][5]
In June 2023, he started training with FC St. Pauli senior team.[6] But despite his recognized talent he did not progress any further with the first team, amid tentions around his contract ending the following summer.[7][8]
He eventually was promoted to FC St. Pauli II on October 2023.[9] Moreira made his professional debut with the team in a 2–0 Regionalliga Nord loss to Drochtersen/Assel on 21 October 2023.[10]
Born in Germany, da Silva Moreira also has Portuguese, Bissau-Guinean and Polish origins.[2][4][11] He is a youth international for Germany, having played for the under-16[2] and under-17.[12][13]
With Germany U17 he was a standout in the 2023 European Championship[12][14][15] and the following World Cup[16][17][18][19] that his team both won.[11]
A right-footed versatile player, da Silva Moreira is able to play both as a centre-forward, winger or right-back.[4][14][18]
