Thomas A. Woodall (born July 14, 1950)[1] was a justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama from 2001 to 2013.

Woodall defeated incumbent John H. England to win election to the court.[2]

A native of Mississippi, Woodall earned his bachelor's degree in history from Millsaps College. The Republican earned his law degree from the University of Virginia.[3]

Justices who began their terms on the Court on January 16, 2001, were... Thomas A. Woodall, a circuit judge in Jefferson County. ... Justice Woodall retired, and Tommy Elias Bryan, a judge on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, was elected to fill his position for a term that began on January 15, 2013.[4]
