Oleh Mykolayovych Korikov was born on 13 December 1970 in Odesa.
In 1994 he graduated from the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering with a degree in Nuclear Power Plants and Installations and qualified as an engineer - physicist-heat power engineer.[2]
In 1999 Oleh received postgraduate education at the Business school MIM-Kyiv, degree "Master of Business Administration".[2]
From 1993 to 2018 Oleh Korikov worked at Energoatom. He started as a turbine equipment engineer of the 6th group of the turbine department of the operational unit of power unit №3 of Zaporizhzhya NPP.[3] In 2014, as a Director of Investments and Prospective Development of SE "NAEK Energoatom", he took part in the I All-Ukrainian seminar of energy engineers within the framework of the XII International Forum "PEC of Ukraine: Present and Future" with a report on the topic "Priority investment projects of SE NAEK "Energoatom"[4]
For eight years, he engaged in projects reconstruction of the technical water supply system, the construction of the Tashlyk PSP, and the implementation of Holtec technology at the South Ukrainian NPP. In particular, from 2016 to 2018, according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Oleh was directly responsible for the reconstruction of the Tashlyk PSP as Deputy Head of the capital construction department.[5]
From 2018 to 2020 Oleh was Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Industry of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. In 2019, as part of the Day of Nuclear Energy in Ukraine, he presented a report on the topic "Projects for the development of the nuclear-industrial complex of Ukraine"[6]
From 2020 to 2021 he was Deputy General Director - Technical Director at the State Specialized Enterprise "Central Enterprise for Radioactive Waste Management".[2]
From June 16, 2021, Oleh Korikov was First Deputy Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine - Deputy Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine[7] [8], according to order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from June 16, 2021 №641-r.
Since December 15, 2021, he was Acting Chairman of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine - Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine.[9] Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from December 15, 2021 №1674-r.
On January 12, 2024, Oleh Korikov was presented as Head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine - Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine.[10] [11] [12] [13]Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from January 12, 2024 №34-r.
