Dolinsky District (Russian: До́линский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia; one of the seventeen in the oblast.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Dolinsky Urban Okrug.[4] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,441.6 square kilometers (942.7 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Dolinsk.[1] Population (excluding the administrative center): 13,699 (2010 Russian census);[2] 15,649 (2002 Census);[6] 22,484 (1989 Soviet census).[7]
