Claire Summers (born Cowbridge [1]), is a Welsh news television presenter for BBC Wales

Summers was brought up in Cowbridge and went to school in Cardiff. She then gained a BA degree at Aberystwyth University and post-graduate in journalism from University of Cardiff[2].

Summers worked at Channel One television in Bristol, where she was reported, filmed, edited and presented programs. Summers joined BBC Wales in 2000. With Summers and Jason Mohammed the youngest members of the BBC Wales Today team, they are often asked to undertake the activity based reports - such as in 2005, where Summers had to lead Welsh Black cow called Ceridwen at the Royal Welsh Show [3][4]

Summers was voted in the Top50 sexiest Welsh women in 2004[5].

Personal life

Summers married Christian Terry in 2004, with a reception at the St David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff[6]
