The Central District of Omidiyeh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان امیدیه) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Omidiyeh.[3]
At the National Census in 2006, its population was 70,037 in 14,447 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 73,587 people in 18,711 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 81,618 inhabitants in 22,267 households.[2]
After the census, the village of Miankuh was elevated to the status of a city.[6]
