This category contains articles related to the lichens of the West Asia.
It includes lichen taxa that are native to West Asia. Taxa of the lowest rank are always included. Higher taxa are included only if endemic.
For the purposes of this category, "Western Asia" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions, and adopted here for use with lichen flora. That is, the geographic region known as Western Asia is defined as including the following areas, typically defined by the political boundaries of its constituents:

Cyprus
East Aegean Islands
Iran
Iraq
Lebanon-Syria ("Greater Syria")
Lebanon
Syria
Palestine (geographic region including Israel and Jordan)
Sinai
Turkey (excluding the European part)
It is included within the larger geographic region of temperate Asia.
