B.J. Green II is an American football defensive end for the Colorado Buffaloes. He previously played for the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Green attended high school at McEachern. Coming out of high school, Green decided to join the Arizona State Sun Devils as a preferred walk-on.[1][2]
In Green's first collegiate game in week one of the 2021 season, Green tallied a sack in a win over Southern Utah.[3] In the 2021 Las Vegas Bowl, Green recorded two sacks in a loss versus Wisconsin.[4] Green finished his freshman season playing in 12 games where he notched eight tackles with five being for a loss, and five sacks.[5] After the conclusion of the 2021 season, Green was awarded a scholarship by the Sun Devils.[6] Green finished the 2022 season notching 13 tackles with four and a half being for a loss, and two and a half sacks.[7] During the 2023 season, Green tallied 39 tackles with 11.5 being for a loss, six sacks, and a forced fumble.[8] For his performance on the season, Green was named second team all Pac-12.[9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Green decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[10][11]
Green initially decided to transfer to play for the Washington Huskies.[12][13] However, Green decided to flip his commitment to play for the Colorado Buffaloes.[14][15]
