Aggi Barata (English: Fire Blast) is a 1966 Telugu, swashbuckling adventure fantasy film, produced and directed by B. Vittalacharya on Sri Vital Combines banner.[3][4] Starring N. T. Rama Rao, Rajasree in the lead roles[5] and music composed by Vijaya Krishna Murthy.[6][7]
Once upon a time, a Kingdom Amaravathi ruled by King Amarasimha (Mikkilineni), his chief commander Gajapathi (S. V. Ramadas) has bad intention to eliminate the king by marry his only daughter Vasavi (Rajasri) and grab the kingdom. Once Gajapathi catches a decoit, Ranga Raju, he kills him and in his guise, Gajapathi performs a lot of atrocities in the kingdom and when he attacks a village Ramanapalem. A young dynamic guy Raja (N. T. Rama Rao) chases him out of the village. Meanwhile, Amarasimha goes on hunting, Gajapathi sets fire to his tent, few loyal aides of Amarasimha protects him and hides him secretly in a cave. Gajapathi takes over the reign of kingdom even through the kingdom is on princess name. After some time, annual competitions are held in the fort, when Raja suspects Gajapathi's dual face. Raja defeats Gajapathi and acquires the title Aggi Barata, princess Vasavi loves Raja at first sight. She secretly meets him, explains her situation, the state of affairs and cruelties of Gajapathi. Raja promises that he will protect her & the Kingdom and both of them fall in love. Parallelly, Raja’s maternal uncle Bham Bham Basaviah (Ramana reddy) who left the house in childhood comes back as a great magician. On the outskirt of their village, there lives a powerful wizard Konda Buchodu (Mukkamala). The villagers provocate Basaviah to beat Konda Bhuchodu but Basaviah fails. Eventually, Gajapathi plans to marry Vasavi forcibly. At that time, rescuers of king kidnap Raja, take him to the cave and without revealing kings identity, reveals the double face of Gajapathi and appoints him as protector of the kingdom to stamp out Gajapathi. Raja rescues Vasavi and takes her along with him to the cave she recognizes her father Amarashimha. Simultaneously, Gajapathi set fire to Raja’s village when Raja goes to their rescue Gajapathi catches him, tortures him very badly, and throws him in the river. Gajapathi notices the secret cave and imprisons king along with princess. He keeps Konda Bhuchodu as security so that no one can enter into the fort. Raja is saved by Basaiah with his help, Raja enters into the fort. Basaviah intelligently kills Konda Bhuchodu and Raja eliminates Gajapathi. Finally, Amarasimha crowns Raja as his heir and the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Raja and Vasavi.
