Abareq (Persian: ابارق)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Abareq Rural District of Deh Bakri District, Bam County, Kerman province, Iran.[4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,896 in 457 households, when it was in Howmeh Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,199 people in 923 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 4,568 people in 1,264 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
In 2018, Deh Bakri Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Deh Bakri District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Abareq Rural District;[4] and the village of Deh Bakri was renamed Deh Bid as the capital of the new district.[7]
