Module:Offset is only used on Template:offset/test, and Template:Offset is a redirect. * Pppery * it has begun... 15:39, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- @BrandonXLF: as the creator of this module, is there any use to this? You haven't commented. --Gonnym (talk) 09:19, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- @Gonnym: It is meant to be used with ((Current offset in time zone)), ((Current minute offset in time zone)), and ((Current hour offset in time zone)) etc.– BrandonXLF (talk) 17:52, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- If I had realized that, I would have probably nominated the entire batch of templates as "unused". When you create a module without any documentation, and use it in includeonly blocks in templates, and don't tag the templates with ((lua)), misinterpretations happen. At this point, it's probably best to let this TfD finish and G8 the (unused) templates that use this module if it is closed as delete. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:07, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary navbox, with engines by one company, one of which is a redlink and do not particularly refer to one another. There's also already ((Video game engines)) soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:18, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All the entries on this template are included in Template:Middle-earth (which covers The Silmarillion and other books), and almost all are also in Template:Lord of the Rings, both of which are in wide use. I think we'd be better off without this template, which could simply redirect to the Middle-earth template. Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:07, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Completely redundant/inferior to ((ISSN)), created because someone didn't understand how to use ((ISSN)) of a very fixable issue. Possibly a case of WP:CSD#T3. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 19:28, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. This template makes a necessary fix to ((ISSN)), which currently gives broken results for newspapers (and anything else that isn't a journal). I am not the template creator, but I've previously raised this issue on Template talk:ISSN link, where the one response was opposed to the solution of replacing the Worldcat link with issn.org. (Another solution would be to have a param that would replace "jrnl", e.g. with "news" for newspaper.) AFAICT the creator created this template in order to illustrate the issue, so it's a little unclear why it's being TFD'd before the problem has been resolved. If people want to keep the existing journal-specific behavior of ((ISSN)), then we're going to need some other template for non-journals -- in that case I imagine we'd want to have this template handy as a starting point. -- Visviva (talk) 04:43, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
