User TyrusThomas4lyf was been blocked indefinitely in May, 2007 for repeated personal attacks and edit warring, after numerous warnings and attempts to mediate. For a summary of this user's past behavior, see the RFC and his talk page User talk:TyrusThomas4lyf. This same user has also edited under the aliases IlliniPride and 68.253.206.119 in the past, as noted at [1] (see section "Problematic edits by IlliniPride / 68.253.206.119 / TyrusThomas4lyf"). Since his block, he has repeatedly attempted to subvert the block as demonstrated in Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/TyrusThomas4lyf, Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/TyrusThomas4lyf (2nd), Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/TyrusThomas4lyf (3rd), Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/TyrusThomas4lyf (4th), and Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/TyrusThomas4lyf (5th).

This time, he has used the IP address 75.34.26.137. Evidence that 75.34.26.137 is a sock-puppet for TyrusThomas4lyf include not only this user's editing of the same selection of articles (see e.g. [2], [3], [4], and [5]), but also the introduction of the same edits. Some examples include the following:

  1. Only person to object to Baylor's inclusion on List of National Basketball Association top individual scoring season averages: [6] and [7] (both from TyrusThomas4lyf), [8] (from sock-puppet 75.34.18.170), [9] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.34.26.137, and [10] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.32.38.112.
  2. Only person to insist upon insertion of starting center trivia in List of National Basketball Association players with 60 or more points in a game: [11] (from TyrusThomas4lyf), [12] (from sock-puppet 75.34.18.170), [13] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.34.26.137, and [14] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.32.38.112.
  3. Removal of the very same sourced 76ers information: [15] (from 68.253.206.119 -- a known alias for User talk:TyrusThomas4lyf), [16] (from Hoopsknowledge -- sock-puppet for TyrusThomas4lyf), [17] (from sock-puppet 75.34.18.170), [18] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.34.26.137, and [19] from current sock-puppet candidate 75.32.38.112.

Prompt action is desired due to the extent of this banned user's current activity.

If more evidence is desired, let me know. It's very easy to procure.

Conclusions

I agree that this is sockpuppetry. Since blocking IPs hasn't been very useful, I've semi-protected the articles instead. That should take care of it. Kafziel Talk 17:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
