Intercision[edit]

This article is an in-universe repetition of the plot of the His Dark Materials trilogy articles, which cover this in greater detail. There is no assertion of notability independent of the books themselves, so this should be deleted. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 03:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

keep A number of independent reliable sources discuss this. For example [1], and [2] links to an article in Children‘s Literature in Education which discusses this and compares it to castration. Also, the book His Dark Materials Illuminated: Critical Essays on Philip Pullman's Trilogy, which is a collection of scholarly essays on His Dark Materials has a number of essays that discuss this.
