Contrary to the the prod remover's claim that "places are presumed notable", WP:GEOLAND actually states "Named natural features are often notable, provided information beyond statistics and coordinates is known to exist. This includes mountains, lakes, streams, islands, etc. The number of known sources should be considered to ensure there is enough verifiable content for an encyclopedic article." The only source is a mere database entry that the place exists. Minnesota calls itself the land of 10,000 lakes, but since my BEFORE search did not turn up anything with or without substance, these are certainly not all automatically notable.
