Request reason:

I was only trying to maintain accurate information on the page about the firm. Previous versions had highly inaccurate or speculative information about the structure of the firm and other goings on. For example, the firm isn't based/headquartered in the US, there are three distinct entities that operate under the Mayer Brown brand - Mayer Brown LLP, Mayer Brown International LLP and Mayer Brown JSM/JSM. I don't think the Mayer Brown page was too far removed from peer firm pages like Kirkland & Ellis, Sidley Austin, McDermot Will & Emery, and with a little bit of editing could have retained a good portion of the material.

Yes, but the fact remains that you are editing the page in violation of WP:COI. A far better path would be for you to point out inaccuracies on the talk page while acknowledging any conflict you may personally have and then let an uninvolved editor decide whether these changes are appropriate for the page or not. I'll let another admin decide whether to unblock. However, I think you would be best served by creating a new account and staying away from COI pages such as Mayer Brown in the future.
