Vladimir Medvedev Riazanov was born in Riazan, a region in West-Russia, in 1874. Parents unknown. At an age of 17 he joined the russian army in 1891. After a fight with an officer at an unknown date, he was banished from the Province of Ryazan, and had to escape to survive. He settled in the russian city Open. From here he wrote books, but the authorities destoyed all of his works. He was executed in 1915 when the government discovered him.
