Conquest rather than colonization[edit]

During the 16th century the expansion of the Spanish Empire in the Americas was made by conquering rather than by colonization. In nearle all America tha Spanish were outnumbered by natives. The Spanish conquered first and then began sowly to settle.

Pedro de Alvarado[edit]
