• Reviewed: This is only my second DYK Nomination, so I understand I don't have to make a QPQ review yet. But I've already reviewed Chang and Eng Bunker for my previous nomination, and I shall try to review something else tomorrow, and indicate such in the comments.
• Comment: 5x expansion began on 19 July 2018. It would be nice for this to go out on 11 September, which is Ferdinand Marcos' birthdate, but if not feasible, anyday is fine.

• Query: 18× expansion from stub during the seven days prior to nomination. New enough, long enough. Neutrality: I was a little concerned that remembered as a crony of President Ferdinand Marcos might be a bit negative for the first sentence of the article's lead, though "crony" is sourced and this does seem to be an accepted term in context. I linked it to Cronies of Ferdinand Marcos. You might consider rewording it to something like "remembered for his close association to". Sourcing: the Early life section needs a citation. For close paraphrasing, you might also give a little attention to this Earwig score which is showing a bit aside from the proper names. I'm not 100% sure about the intended meaning to rephrase it (e.g.: does "represented 27% of the country's dollar earnings" mean GDP, or exports since dollars is likely US$ ?) The hooks are under 200 characters, neutral, and interesting. AGF for QPQ. Verified online source for ALT1. However, there does not seem to be a source for the ALT0 that Benedicto was Marcos's fraternity brother (this is from the unsourced section). I have no preference between the two hooks; ALT1 would be good to go if the unsourced section was removed from the article.   • I added an inline citation to support ALT0 for being Marcos's fraternity brother. So ALT0 and ALT1 are both sufficiently sourced. However, there are still three unsupported statements in the Early life section: his birthdate, and that he is an alumnus of University of Phillipines Law School and George Washington University. – Reidgreg (talk) 16:30, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
    • Well, at least one of those facts can be partially supported; Marcos and Benedicto were classmates at the UP Law School, so that fact can be proven by the same sources that say they were fraternity brothers, as long as the words "graduate" and "alumnus" are removed. (In real life, we can safely assume he graduated; but the sources don't explicitly say that.) As for the birthdate and GWU attendance, I've removed them from that section for now. (Should I also do the same for the birthdate in the lead and the infobox?) (Also, upon realizing that this would be great to release on Marcos' birthday on 11 September, I've added that request to the note above...       • To be an alumnus, a person only has to attend a school, graduation is not required; but I feel it's good how you have it. Yes, the birthdate will also have to be removed from the lead and infobox. (There's also a stray comma at the end of Early life and education.) The requested date shouldn't be a problem. (Oh, I just noticed that the hooks had an ellipsis character (…) instead of three periods. You might have an "autocorrect" feature on your software, maybe using a different computer while on wikivacation?) – Reidgreg (talk) 19:31, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
